Timesulin is the perfect tool to add to your diabetes treatment kit. It does not add bulk to your insulin pen, works with all the major insulin pen brands so you don’t have to switch the type of insulin you use to treat your diabetes and it is simple to get going with! There is no need to study an instruction manual, nor program your Timesulin cap. Simply recycle the plastic cap that comes standard with your insulin pen and replace it with your Timesulin smart cap.

When you receive your Timesulin unit it will have a small plastic tab in place, which protects the battery. Activate the battery by removing the plastic protective peg and the timer on your Timesulin cap will start blinking 00:00.  Administer your insulin shot and then replace your Timesulin smart cap onto your insulin pen.

The smart cap will immediately start counting the seconds, starting at one second (00:01) and counting up to an hour, or 59 minutes and 59 seconds. After an hour, the timer mode will switch from MM:SS to HH:MM and run until 99 hours and 59 minutes. If you have not administered another insulin shot in 100 hours, this is where your Timesulin unit will stop counting.

To reactive your timer, simply remove the cap for longer than 8 seconds and start all over! We have incorporated an 8-second delay in the resetting of your Timesulin smart cap. This will allow you to remove the cap – to check your pen’s insulin levels on the way out to dinner, for example – without resetting the timer.
